Hello! My name is Bea.

My family and I recently took on restoring a small ranch, out in the Texan country side.

Starting this blog seems like an easy way to share our new adventure with family and friends, old and new.

For over 15 years, I worked as a massage therapist. I enjoy energy work. Got my Reiki Master. I also have a professional organizer certification. I love sorting and organizing. I love to-do lists and even more as I check things off!

When I take a break from my Mom and Ranch to-do lists, I like to exercise, paint, draw and bring stories to life thru children’s books.

I am slightly OCD and a bit ADD, which makes life quite exciting.

“The only thing I am consistent in is being inconsistent!

Our story:

A new life?…How about a farm life?

Mike and I lived in Las Vegas NV for over 20 years. While working full-time jobs, we bought, remodeled, and sold 3 homes…each time a little bigger, a little better.

We loved our neighborhood, community, and the excitement the town and its surroundings offered (Red Rock, Lake Mead…) We had our routine: work, school, play.

Hiking, boating, climbing, riding and many camping trips with friends to the neighboring states of Arizona, Utah, California, spiced up our lives.

Over the last few years tho, Mike started to grow concerned about the town. Vegas kept growing. The traffic was getting worst and the overall atmosphere was changing. Mike started thinking we should move, and go experience something new. He and I have moved around. Hell, I moved continents, and countries, learned a language, and adapted to a culture. Our kids, on the other hand, have lived in pretty much the same neighborhood, and house, for most of their lives. Since they got lucky and got into a charter school that went K thru 12, they didn’t even have to change schools. Things were pretty set and comfy.

Then, the Pandemic happened. These trying times called for a review of our family’s priorities and values. We decided this was our chance to start anew elsewhere, with more space, big skies, and locally grown fresh produce.

In these gloomy times, we saw the opportunity for a cleaner, new life.

Here we are now!!!
